A Friend in Maine
While on vacation in Maine I had a chance to see some of their small wildlife up close. This is a frog that was in a stream, and he was pretty easy to catch.
There are 10 species of frogs in Maine: the American Bullfrog, the American Toad, the Fowler's Toad, the Gray Treefrog, the Green Frog, the Mink Frog, the Northern Leopard Frog, the Pickerel Frog, the Spring Peeper and the Wood Frog. I think that this one was an American Bullfrog.
In any case, I didn't hold him for too long as I didn't want to frighten him.
